Ozark Trail Air Mattress

Continuing the theme of bargains that I picked up online from free classified advertising sites (I also wrote about Guatemalan Worry Dolls) I thought I would mention the fabulous Ozark Trail air mattress I picked up.

I actually have two of these, one – with frame – was bought new from a store. The other, an elevated mattress that is frameless, I recently picked up from a classified ads site (I forget which). As soon as I saw it for sale at what was about a third of what they normally sell for I knew I had to have one.

The reason is simple. My Ozark Trail air mattress with frame has been perfect for me in a number of situations – having a back up one at such a cheap price really was a bit of a no brainer.

As the name suggests the Ozark Trail air mattress is, well, an air mattress. Quite simply it is an inflatable air bed – simply pump air into the mattress and then you have a comfortable place to sleep (I strongly suggest using an electric rather than manual pump).

I have used them in 3 main situations

1. As a guest bed. Whilst I have a spare room quite often extra guests will be staying – extended family, friends sleeping off a few drinks etc. This means that having spare beds that they can sleep on is very useful.
   
   The Ozark air mattress is perfect for this as with an electric pump they are quick to put together – but very comfortable and sturdy as well. It means that guests that are staying can sleep in comfort.
   
   

2. As a bed for other peoples houses. These Ozrak Trail Air Mattresses are designed to be easy to transport. Deflate, move and inflate. That simple.
   
   This means that when I am going to stay at friends or family I don't need to worry about if they have a spare bed or not. I don't have to think about uncomfortable sofa's or lumpy camping beds. I have with me a very comfortable easy to put together travel bed that won't impose upon my hosts.
   
   

3. Camping. I do like getting out into the (relative) wild to camp. But just because I enjoy camping doesn't mean that I am not also a fan of making things as comfortable as possible.
   
   Using Ozrak Trail air mattresses can ensure that I get the comfort of home with me when I am camping. No awful camp bes, or roughing it on a thin foam sheet. I get a comfortable, sturdy bed that will ensure I get a good nights sleep.

As I said before I am a big fan of cruising the Internet for bargains. Sometimes it is on Ebay or classified ad sites to buy and sell items to make a profit, sometimes for my own pleasure and sometimes simply for items that interest me.

In the case of the Ozrack Trail air mattress it was a real bargain. I could, if I wanted, turn around and sell it, making a few bucks in the process. Whilst I have no issues with this the fact is that I rate these air beds highly and would be extremely loathe to sell something I find so useful.
